Today’s Activities:
In order to organize ourselves into teams, we will begin by giving everyone the opportunity to re-introduce themselves (remind us of their general interests in the class), reflect on the skills that they already possess and that will be useful for the multimedia project.
- Introduce yourself, re-stating your specific interests in the class. You can express these interests in the class through general topics or particular aspects of the readings/observations done in class.
- From the following list, choose all that apply to you.
- Edited a video
- Recorded and edited audio
- Produced a podcast
- Have familiarity with still cameras
- Have familiarity with video cameras
- Have managed Social Media for self, group or organization (instagram, tik-tok, etc)
- Have experience posting on social media platforms

Check your email for invitations to the site.
General Outline:
1. Logging in (good to make sure everyone has access)
2. Text editor, links, Post Titles as links
3. Inserting Media (images, pdfs)(I make mention of alt text used by screen readers and search engines)
4. Inserting youtube links so they embed (often a good time to cover the two different “visual” vs. “text” modes)
5. Saving things on the server (draft vs. published)
6. Ask if anyone has used WordPress or Tumblr, see if that person would like admin roles to help the professor
7. Maybe cover categories, depending on the number of assignments
8. History, restoring versions
9. Commenting
10. Roles
11. Video Tutorials and googling for help, emailing me
